EACA EG2000 Colour Genie (cgenie)
for Batocera and Retrobat

The EACA EG2000 Colour Genie was a computer produced by Hong Kong-based manufacturer EACA. It was introduced in Germany in August 1982 by Tromeschläger Computer Service and Schmidtke Electronic.
This computer followed their earlier Video Genie I and II models and was released around the same time as the business-oriented Video Genie. The Colour Genie featured a Zilog Z80 CPU running at 2.2 MHz, 16 KB RAM (expandable to 32 KB), and 16 colors for graphics. It had a 40×24 text display and 160×96 graphics resolution. The sound hardware included a General Instruments AY-3-8910 chip with 3 sound channels and 1 noise channel.
The Colour Genie was not compatible with Tandy's newer TRS-80 Color Computer due to architectural differences. Approximately 190 games were published for this system in English and German.
