Sega Video Driver (videodriver)

for Batocera and Retrobat

The Sega Family Driver (also called Video Driver in the US) is a unique hybrid console developed in collaboration between Sega and Tyco in 1988. This VHS-driven system combines elements of video games and classic toys. It features a tiny toy car that players control using a mechanical steering wheel.

The console works by playing a VHS tape that displays a street scene with corners and obstacles on the TV screen, creating the illusion that the toy car is driving on the road. The Video Driver does not need to be connected to the television, making it a charming and innovative blend of analog and digital entertainment.

The package includes:

6 games (~700 MB)
